So I sent out my last message back in June, when we were just coming into the summer. We have been waiting patiently for the summer to pass and for the winter to set in, so that we can finally shoot ‘We Can Hula’ in the best environment possible. Since June the film has been developed and refined, more and more people have begun to get involved. The production along with the cast, locations and shoot dates has now all been confirmed. The Green house shed has been constructed, as well as the development of the dressing of the set and styling, items have been designed, sourced and bought for the shoot. Everything is starting to fall into place and the boxes are starting to be ticked.
We are set to be shooting on the 1st December on location near Guildford at Whitmoore Common, where we plan to shoot all exterior and environment shots. On the 18th of December we are at Clapham Road Studio near Stockewell London, shooting all interior shots for the film. After this shoot date all filming will have been completed, then we will be into the last stages of the production, which is post, and edit.
The crew list is growing, with some great people being involved. Daniel Morgan is our Director of Photography for the shoot. Daisy Azis is heading Production + Costume Design. We are going to have a full making of video capturing behind the scenes as well a stills photographer, making sure nothing is missed.
I’ll be doing a weekly round up of the production of the film; this will include posting behind the scenes updates on Instagram and Twitter.
Follow for up dates.
